Illustration Friday - Cold

In the biting cold and falling snow
Cowers a little match girl
Whose heart is filled with woe
Hungry and shivering with cold
She wishes some matches she has sold
To warm her hands numb with cold
She strikes a match to see it glow

I always look forward to seeing your take on the topic, the little match girl is lovely.
I went for a different Andersen idea, the Snow Queen.

The Little Match Girl story is so sad. :( But your illustration is wonderful! Such a cold, lonely feeling from it.
